Brighton Bears had a good opportunity to close the gap on Championship leaders TCS Chester Jets this week, however, after mixed results they are still eight points off the pace.

- Work on the new Stadium and Arena Complex for Milton Keynes has officially started. Pete Winkelman, chairman of Milton Keynes Dons FC and Managing Director of Inter MK, the business consortium behind the project, performed the ground-breaking ceremony at the site today alongside many Milton Keynes' dignitaries including the Chief Executive of the Milton Keynes Lions, Vince Macaulay.

Rocks Reach For The Skye

- The Scottish Phoenix Honda Record Rocks widen the reach of their community work again this weekend. After a recent visit to the Western location of Islay, the professional basketball franchise is preparing to depart for the even more distant shores of Skye and Lochalsh.
Both visits are part of a recent health initiative funded by Rocks' sponsor Scotland Against Drugs.
