Northants Lightning basketball star Angelina Browne will be playing her basketball in America for the next two years. Browne who is currently a pupil at Northampton School For Girls has been offered a place at Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia.

Oak Hill is recognised throughout the States for producing basketball talent, with no less than fourteen former students having gone on to play professionally in the NBA, including Jerry Stackhouse, Rod Strickland, Ron Mercer and recent No. 3 draft pick Carmelo Anthony. FULL STORY


Ugonna set to feature in debut live UK broadcast of NBA Draft

British TV sports fans will be able to watch one of the sporting world’s most fascinating spectacles for the first time ever when NASN broadcasts the NBA Draft live and in full on Thursday 26 June.

This year’s draft is one of the most anticipated for many years on both sides of the Atlantic – both for the arrival of 18-year-old superstar LeBron James (a young player already being called “the next Michael Jordan”) and for news of London-based Ugonna Onyekwe, touted as a possible second round pick. Luol Deng has been forced to withdraw from tonight's Jordan Capital Classic game, as he continues to rest his injured foot.
